Windows is the most commonly used operating system in the world, although there are quite a few alternatives nowadays, windows is still king! The problem is that like everything else, windows isn't perfect. If windows, or your computer experiences an error it will generate a system error code. There are so many different codes, some of which refer to a critical system error, while others are fairly minor things that you can get away with.
Windows like many other operating systems are not very good at telling you what went wrong, simply saying that there has been a fault at 1x88888x77777 isn't really very helpful to anyone. There are however three main categories of windows system error codes which you can use to find a solution to your system error.
Hardware Error Codes
These are the most serious error codes which your computer will ever generate, viruses and spyware can damage your computer. However if you have hardware problems then these could be just as damaging. If you think that some of your hardware is about to stop working then you need to get it sorted as quickly as possible, consider making backups to prevent losing your data. Typically the Blue screen of death error messages are caused by hardware problems.
Operating system error codes
These are the types of codes which can be a warning sign of problems with your windows installation. This could be anything from a windows registry problem, or system files becoming corrupt. You can normally fix most of these problems by using a good quality registry scanner utility such as Regcure, which can be downloaded from here.
Error loading Operating System
Sometimes windows can also encounter errors when it tries to boot up, these can be the most frustrating errors because they are difficult to diagnose and fix. To get around these errors if you can't boot windows up properly then you may have to boot your computer into safe mode. This will allow you to boot windows without having problems.
Error codes are displayed by your computer for a reason, and it's not just to frustrate or annoy you. Your PC displays them to try and safeguard you in the future. It's a good idea to learn about PC error codes before you encounter them so that you're not as stressed. There are hundreds of different types of error code, and nobody could know them all, but you can certainly try to understand what they are saying! Normally the easiest fix is simply to start your computer, but you need to know when a windows error is more serious than that and needs attention.
